Here we got to the guy I settled on, Ardashir the savaran. Or aswaran, depending on what translation you read. Basically a sort of proto-knight from a land meant to be kinda-sorta Sassanid Persia and Central Asia. He's still my go-to character today even if he's become rather more clownish over time. Anyway, here he is in actual Sassanid style armor and surcoat, with lance and bow.
