Wanted to do my own take on Ban-Lu's pandaren form. Ban-Lu, Grandmaster's Companion is the son of the White Tiger Xuen and the personal mount of the grandmaster monks.

Much like the August Celestials' mortal guises and the dracthyr visage forms often include elements from their true forms, I wanted to incorporate elements from his tiger form. These are seen with the tiger tail, the cyan stripes and claws, long fangs, the red beads, and the arm wraps, as well as a mohawk loosely based on the adornments of his helmet. I also gave him sideburns based on those of his father, the White Tiger Xuen. For his pants, I took inspiration from Hearthstone's Ban-Lu Nguyen art, mixed with elements from the Shado-Pan uniform (for their association with the White Tiger) and the belt buckle taken from the Xuen's Battlegear set (which also somewhat inspired the body stripes). I was actually in the middle of drawing up this design when I remembered that Ban-Lu does have an in-game pandaren form by the name of Master Bu (I am very forgetful), so he ended up looking very far from his in-game appearance, with the only similarities being the brown fur (here more red-orange like his tiger fur) and the eye markings.

I also included a bit of shipping between him and Master Hight, former Grandmaster of the Peak of Serenity and greatest of friends with Ban-Lu. Sadly, he died during the Legion invasion. Ban-Lu was deeply affected and wandered Pandaria alone in sorrow, until the new Grandmaster showed up. [2023/02/15]
