Well, I have a new commissions, now:  weirdhyenas, so I decided to do a little explanation of how to process the head of a dragon, in this case Acerbus.

So let's start with the first, you need:

1-A reference (if the character is not yours), which gave me was made by shalonesk with references to which I have worked.
2-Clay, Clay brand I use DAS can be purchased in "Lumen."
3-cutters, sandpaper, water and your hands will be your basic tools, water servant both to put the pieces together to manage, so only a bit wet your fingers or your cutter to use them.
4-PATIENCE, this is very slow and no time to hurry (it's the one I'm patient hehe).
5 - EXTRAS, this is optional, serves to make life more comfortable, but not required. An electric oven (to dry the clay faster) I use between 150 and 200 Celsius, a mototool (like what the dentist) just got one and I have not used much, and a spray gun (so you do not already know? .)

Now we start.

Basics.
The first thing is to make a very basic acraneo, it's just a ball and holes, it must be smaller than we want the head, as we will be adding more later and sea clay. Allow it to dry (if you just put it the oven for 3 minutes and chill) when dry proceed to put the muzzle, as basic as the first, only a "spike", remember that bind with water and fingers, also let dry and once dry start to the volume, add the cheeks, improve the "peak" for it seem more of a snout and add the forehead and eyebrows (to this point you should have a simple idea on how to set the exprecion) and we enlarge where you need it, remember I said that we would go head getting bigger?.

Expressions.
Bein, here we can add the chin, and eyebrows with this is determining the exprecion, so think as you will to put the other "peak" under the Promero, do not worry if I get that big or too thick I arranged with the cutters until it looks like you want. Let everything dry and start to put more clay where you need it or remove the cutters where on or look bad, define the expression and face, put details, and when you add the eyes Conclude the river, with water and arrange them cutters and Tada! and your face is done!.

Horns and Fangs.
90% of the dragons have horns and fangs is 99% done. It's simple, just put (low water), horns where they go, but do it by parts (the same thing with fangs) and let them dry, dry and add them the details and that's it!.

Extras and Neck.
Goodies with things that carries decicion gragon by the artist, whether marks, scars, wings, ears, etc. Place the neck now as anger help determine the head and the body is not rocket science, just stick your neck cool and dry head cellalos.

Note: I forgot to mention, that their work is better and eliminate harsh, lijen with sandpaper (dah) after drying everything has to be a low hardness or may use several.
