The horse isn't loose through its face or body, doesn't give, and probably doesn't get relief when it does give because this style of riding uses so much contact on the bit all the time. So they put the horse in this double bridle and contain it, calling it collection when it's nothing of the kind. True collection is when the horse is soft, relaxed and giving from the mouth, through the poll and all the way back to the tail and only when this happens. Expensive horses and clothes and fancy bloodlines and competitive disciplines don't make good horsemanship.

Nice outfit though. Very high-class.
