As best I can tell this is just a blind choice, but we can make some reasonable assumptions firstly turning back would more than likely lead us to being absorbed/droned by the big boogi, no way we crawled into this vent shimmied our way here and can just turn back around for free without it having closed the gap and lie in wait for us.
Really the only reasonable thing to do it fucking hope and pray that door opens, which I do not think it will as I think this area is another sequence/timing puzzle like from the starting area and I believe we have already fucked up the timing by entering the vent from the hall rather than luring the boogi to the end of the long hall and crawling through at the last moment.
But it's better than crawling backwards to our death. so Vote A
