When I was littler, there was a wall in my town. It wasn't remarkable, just a chest-high divider between sidewalk and stairs. But that was wide and flat enough to climb on, stand on, sit and lay up-on. And the clouds, the moon, and those few stars which made it through the city glow were gorgeous from up there.

That wall is long gone now. I think I need a new place to greet the night.

I had a place to look at the stars when I was younger. It was further away from the city so I could see them better, every night when I was feeling bad I'd go out on the balcony and watch them.

Now that I live closer to the city I don't see any stars anymore. But every once and while I'll see the moon and that gives me catharsis.
