It's common knowledge that although in the past most monsters have come from the great deserted outbacks, deepest of woods, and the most recluse recoils of the mountains, this perception was skewed by most people living not in the cities, but in rural communities. The density of demonic entities was always linked to that of civilized life, but pushed to its fringes and shadows. And big cities since ancient times, have been infamous for manufacturing societal deformities on an industrial scale.

impximon's Timmy who we used as bait. Judging by how the tendrils that serve it as not only a multitude of tongues, but also arms and legs, constantly pull it out of its underground abode, it seems safe to assume that it desperately wants out of the sewage system and out in the open, to taste the light of day.
Or... does it ? This thing constantly seeks to go up, higher and higher, but can't help dragging people down instead. Is it a fit of jealousy and despair, when it grows tired dragging its enormous head into the infinite task it has set for itself? Or is it looking to entertain or, hell forbid, feed itself as it goes, even if it drastically slows it down, even sets it back? No one knows. Same as no one knows why exactly it wants to go up. Maybe not, as we've seen, seeking daylight.
But they dare say its nightly hunt is a good thing, for they assume whatever the case may be, it can't be good.

Back in the Aliens franchise Newt was the little girl that got chased around the compound by the xenomorphs and had to be saved. So think like "damsel in distress" except it's a small helpless creature or child that gets chased by monsters. Like Alice in Wonderland except being chased around by ever more fearsome nightmare creatures.
