Long before the events of the first TV movie Equestria girls 1, Sunset Shimmer spent a lot of time bullying several students at Canterlot high school including the human version of Twilight Sparkle's friends where she played bad pranks on them.
Sunset decided to take on assistant headmaster Luna by hazing her on a Saturday afternoon where she used magic to paralyze her so that she could tie/gag her securely to a chair in her office for the sake of taunting her and she would be able to erase Luna's memory so that she would have no memory of her captivity while suffering no consequences for her heinous act.
