I wanted to juxtapose actual eco friendly effort to “eco friendly” as an empty buzzword. Am I the only one bothered by such remarks in advertising? They're so out of place and discordant when at the same time they boast the ability to kill 99% of whatever.

I'm slightly jealous of the ability to claim deep inspiration through singular photos, when compared to how much depth is needed when tackling written works. Not that a lot of effort didn't have to be taken with the diversity of the plants here. I'm unaccustomed to seeing diverse foliage in most art, with it often being glossed over or over-simplified. Flowers, those I see people trying on, but those leaves here are really impressing me.
I very much hear this. Got a jug of the 'green' version of a major-brand weed killer (same company and Title, just their 'green' version). Weeds LOVED it. Grew back stronger than ever.
If 'green' ever manages to take the place of everything USEFUL, count on yard, garden and crops to be in worse shape. Witness what happened in Sri Lanka the last two years. Crops down 30% and food prices UP 80%

Chemical companies advertise All Natural products while huge factory farms are Organic. Anyone out for a quick buck can wrap themselves (or their toilet paper) in the Patriot's Flag. The most evil Honest Businessmen I had the displeasure of dealing with were quick to put Jesus Fish on their cards and cars to show how triple holy they were. These symbols mean a lot of good things to a lot of good people. I'd guess that even some such advertisers believe what they say- but don't bet your money or your life on it. Your picture shows one personal action against a million dollars of words, and we can all see which does more good.
Thank you! That’s also true, it often depends on how concentrated a substance is and plants and microbes produce all sort of poisons on their own. But none of them tries to wipe out everything around it just to be sure (well, some do, but certainly not on the scale that overkill cleaners can achieve in an already barren environment like a city). What I dislike is the appeal to indiscriminate hate of bacteria/weed/etc. and the idea implied by that kind of ads that wiping out most of them is a good idea.
A study of flora with furry fauna. I love it! That branch growing out of the hold in the oil barrel is really cool. The dirt and stains everywhere are impressive. You don't necessarily notice them at first, but when you start looking for them, they emerge in all the places and shapes you'd expect. It's very natural looking. Well done! Same with the fronds, leaves, and bark. The shading is lovely.
No, you're not alone in being bothered by empty adverts. It is a very real thing that people have been commenting on for a while and hating it. You're seeing just fine. I think the concept of "commodity fetishism" probably applies here in part. It's about prizing the idea around the product more than what it can actually do, at it' s most simple. I think Marx and Engel first outlined the concept, and people have developed it ever since. "Greenwashing," too, and "simulacrum."

This is a stunning piece of social commentary rendered in your deeply personal and resonant artistic lens. This is the kind of work that has that artistic "umami" feel, where the longer you sit with it, the more meaning you pull from it, and the more it inherently asks of yourself to reflect on your own personal role in the subject matter depicted here. Absolutely fantastic, and I'm so thrilled to see you really charging forward with your craft again. :D
I'd imagine that the 'bun's garden is one of the more pleasant places in the city ^^
I'd also like to imagine that she'd like my house garden (plenty of grass, but also moss and field flowers).
Lastly, yeah, ''greenwashing'' is deffo a thing, and often in certain things and products that many would think were saving the planet, like electric cars whose manufacture pollutes more than the making of fossil ones, or ''organic'' cattle being allowed to roam a bit while being pumped with the same antibiotics and steroids like ''non-organic'' xp
