As much as i can help it, no used cars ever again. last time i did i went to name brand dealers, one tried to sell me a car with the front right wheel only attached by a single bolt. my mechanic told me i could've died bringing it in. another tried to sell me one with a broken odometer.
You want to visit an actual dealership like Ford for used (factory refurbished) not some crap like Habib's Lemon Lot. Stay away from "auto repair and sale" lots. They're the kind of places that fix something and either do it wrong on purpose, or intentionally damage something else. Repeat customers = job security.
OH! Damn...that's bad. Second bit of advice: if you go to those places, don't just go for "used". You want "certified pre-owned". Used is just anything, could die within a month. Certified pre-owned is something you can drive for the next 3 or so years with no problems. Some of those prices are damn good. I paid fifteen thousand for a damn near new 2016 Ford Fusion with only 2k on the odometer, still driving it to this day with no problems.
