You're so consistently good, it's kind of a marvel to bear witness to. Everything you do is so on brand and so YOU that I could recognize your work in an instant anywhere. I like how despite all of the details in both fore- and background, they never rival each other due to your masterful use of colour and light.
Thank you for such a comment, you have entirely made my day ♥! Balancing the detail and depth was the main challenge with this one for sure, so I'm pleased you mention it. There was quite a bit of toing and froing involved but I do think it lead to a considered piece in the end!
It's a gorgeous piece! As always! ^v^
The scenery and amount of detail in the props and figure cannot be toppled, even the plants get some well deserved love <3
Though I think you need to find a better hiding place for the 'little fella' hmhm didn't take me long to find him this time ^v^

I very much hope so! I'm fine with art being transactional like plenty of other paid tasks, but a brief that pleases both parties is just so much more fun, and I feel that fun lives on in the finished piece as something to relish forever. That goes extra in the case of your work, with those deep and richly complete scenes. I'm actually glad of spending some time in your queue, since that's given me time to mull over some who-am-i stuff, but I still feel like when it's my turn I'm going to have at least as many questions as suggestions...
Yeah I hear you there, my approach is to work on commissions in the same way I would my personal work! Whilst the brief/idea isn't mine, I know that peeps love their characters and worlds as much as I love my own, and that really drives me ♥. So yes, it will absolutely be super fun and enjoyable working on your commission :¬)! It is still a while til your comm, but you're welcome to DM me on telegram or whatever else if you'd like to run ideas by me ! Other than that, I'm sure the time will soon fly by!
This is a masterpiece in colour, texture and lighting. The detail you've put into this is phenomenal. I love a picture that is so intriguing. The light sourcing gives an astounding sense of depth and atmosphere. I especially like the shadowing of the open patterned windows on his boots, leg and body. The reflection and shine from the floor look incredibly realistic, as does the crumpling of the cloth. The glass house gives the impression that this handsome fellow is of high and powerful status. The dragon flying in the background looks genuinely interested in the flower and is relaxed in the setting. This with his pendant, books, and glasses shows he is very learned, maybe in the magical arts or horticulture. I am interested in the horse head statue near the plant, as to why he has it.
His expression is perfect, it is one of surprise, almost as though he's just noticed us watching him and his body is beginning to tense as he is about to close the book and yet is not going to confront us as such. Nevertheless, it doesn't detract from his radiant handsomeness.
I feel like this is a momentous point in a story that has been captured perfectly. To say this a MASTERPIECE doesn't seem to say enough how spectacular this is.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Achingly beautiful, and I mean that in the most literal sense that can be conveyed
This kind of art brings me a nameless longing to some non-existent idea that words cannot convey. It honestly hurts that reality cannot be this complete. Am I turning existential? perhaps.
But in a good way.
