Miryin is the commander of his crew of House of the Shield warriors. His leadership has brought his team to receive much acclaim in the order, so much that his crew has been placed on a special mission to the island of Lukaudalin to attack an entity known as the Poison Hessai which has consumed the entire landmass. In order to accomplish this mission, he is seeking out a mercenary purifier of the House of the Hand. For such an important mission, he needs to find someone special. As he enters the Hand temple, he is unaware just how special of a recruit he is about to make...
