I love thick lines, and with other styles I try to vary the line width more. Maybe after I get my next picture done, I'll make a how-to. My art isn't that great, but I do love my tools.
Thick lines are drawn with Sanford Vis-a-Vis overhead projector markers. They are incredibly smooth, and as they age, they get slightly squishy which makes them very brush-like in behavior. They're awesome!
Thin lines are drawn either with a Sharpie fine-point marker, or metal-point liquid ink pens (Bic Micro Metal is my favorite). My penciling is so sloppy that gel pens won't make a consistant line, so almost everything I do is done with markers.
Paper is cheapo cardstock. Anything that makes a mark is my pencil, but a Sanford Magic Rub plastic eraser is a must. Best eraser ever. Period.
If I want to do really good on something, I'll ink it in Photoshop. I use the pencil tool in bitmap mode at high resolution, with pressure set to pencil size.

I have a love/hate realationship with fortune cookies, so I have a number of these strips, and in each one I have a different way of opening/eating the cookie.

Turn over, (and on the back) Use other side.
Life is renound for it's mysteries, such as the grand eternal splenders of (end of page)
Call your mom (which I did, she wasn't doing so great)
Just random wierdities :) but totally true! See, always trust those lottery numbers!
