Finally got around to coloring this piece. I did wanna add a few eyes "lurking" in those holes, but I felt it kinda diminished some of that "gross-out" factor. For me, anyway.

I don't really see Brain Matter as tangible objects/creatures. If anything, they represent emotions. Looking back on the original sketch from two years ago, I admit I was hitting a mental rough patch around then. I guess that rubbed off on it. That's the impression I get from it; it was a little cathartic working on this last night, seeing it as a representation of mental pain.

But ultimately, it's whatever you make of it.
