Deep in the mountain wonderland we call home, on occasion everything you thought you knew may turn out to be just a bit wrong. The days begin to grow in length, the harsh chill in the air seems to clutch just a little tighter, fleeting moments of relief, only for the cold to sink its clawed hands in deeper still. On this occasion, after days, and weeks, of bouncing temperatures we felt relief once again. As if the icy hands of old man winter had relaxed once more, the warm sun flooded down upon us, illuminating the once frozen landscape with warm light. I had to try and capture a glimpse of the rarified air, but old Jack Frost was up to his old tricks once more, as the sun dipped low, the freezing breeze crawled up over my skin, letting me know, a warm breath in winter is soon cooled.
