This is a thing i made for my baby nephew as a Christmas present for my sister. In German these contraptions are called "Nestchen" (= little nest) but I've looked it up and appearantly the correct translation would be "(cradle) bumper", that doesn't sound very cute! They're used to protect the baby from bumping against the bars of the crib.
Anyway, I made the animals out of fleece fabric (polyester+cotton) and sewed them onto the blank thing. The animals are 100% hand sewn and designed by me. Took 3 oder 4 evenings.
Now my little nephew can learn about some of the most important animals (tapirs, unicorns, sheep) in his sleep :)
