What D20 system are you using?
I've been thinking of using core D&D 3.5 monster abilities to write up monsters.
Also, why would a velociprey have a slam attack? I think it would make more sense if they had a claw attack instead, that could only be used during a grapple (like a raptor pouncing it's prey and goring it with it's talons), but like I said IDK what D20 system you're using. :P

Hm, normally how I would do a jump attack is roll the jump check, and then if it's a success, roll attack or grapple.
(Sorry if this sounds like I'm nit-picking or being mean in any ways, I was just really interested in your process and wanted to strike up a conversation about it.)
