More of the same while I attempt to clean up my lines and fix up other technical areas of my work.
Dominik Strauss - a young, bald-faced hornet wasp - as an early military conscript. Throughout the course of the Great Colonial War, he would rise to the rank of a sergeant major in command of his own infantry platoon. Strauss is a staunch anti-royalist who grew up in the impoverished countryside surrounding the imperious and partially underground Monette Colony (a colony with a reigning/majority population of bumblebees and other bee families).
Probably going to be the central character that has the whole "star-crossed lovers" narrative going on with an enemy Apidae (bumblebee) drone. Now I just have to draw them together and interacting〔´∇`〕

I love the stern, obedient pose he's doing here. That along with his smart, polished getup really emphasises his duty/professionalism which I assume will be heavily challenged and complicated by his relationship with the bumblebee enemy.
Also really enjoy his darker/subtle colouring - an already darker/grey wasp wearing similar colours, given the company he might be keeping in future pictures, I think it'll make for a really cool contrast!
Really looking forward to potential interaction with him and his star-crossed lover - narratives like that are one of my favourites.
