Enjoy this cutie story of me and my mama~
Standing in the doorway, the little bee stood eyeing up her mommy as she was busy bustling around the kitchen. The sweet smells of baking in the kitchen had torn the little bug from her beloved train set to the doorway.
Twitching her little black stinger as he walked up to the gigantic spider mommy, she tugged gently on her shirt looking up at her. Her bright green eyes looked pleadingly as she whimpered a bit. Stopping her mixing, Lydia bent down, patting the bee girl's head as she dabbed a bit of flour onto the tip of her nose and giggled.
“Ahuhuhu~ I do believe I told a certain little girl to stay in the living room while Mommy did some baking hmm? Can you tell me who that is, my little dearie Bailey?”
Her antennae flattened a bit as she looked at her and shrugged a bit, looking down at the floor. Looking back up into her eyes with the best, sweetest look she could, the little one opened up her mouth trying her best to fix the situation.
“But, mommy, I smelled them and it smelled sooo good! Can I please have one?”
Shaking her head a little bit the large spider reached down, grabbing the pacifier clipped to the yellow and black striped overalls, popping it into her mouth and giving her bottom a pat back towards the living room.
“You know the rules Bailey, you can have a cookie after we have dinner. Now I don't want to see you back in this kitchen again, is that understood little missy?”
Nodding a bit with a dejected slump as she waddled back to her toys, the toddler-sized woman sat playing with the toy trains once again. When suddenly it hit her, she had a full proof plan to get cookies before dinner, all she had to do now was wait.
After what seemed like forever to the impatient bee girl, the sound of a timer going off and the oven opening reached her sensitive ears. Deciding it was time to set her plan in motion, Bailey shot up from the play mat she was sitting on and toddled quickly to the front door, banging on it with a sense of urgency.
Her antennae shot up at the sound of footsteps from the kitchen, heading into the dining room adjacent to the foyer she was in. She quickly doubled back through the living room and into the now empty kitchen, eyeing her prize sitting on the counter. Cooling there was a tray of fresh Christmas cookies.
Bailey noticed a small snag in her foolproof plan; she actually had to get up onto the counter somehow. Toddling over to a small table, he stood on a chair, her wings starting to lift her off of it and hovering with a buzz over to the counter. Climbing up onto it while eyeing the cookies, the sweet scent hypnotized her.
Reaching out to grab one of the delectable Christmas tree-shaped ones, the young woman failed to notice the spider mommy re-entering the room behind her. That is until she was grabbed by a sticky webbing on the back of her overalls and lifted up dangling in the air, spinning slowly to come face to face with a rather stern looking Lydia.
“So, would you care to tell mommy why you're trying to get a cookie when I said not until later? That's a pretty bold move even for you my zippy little Bailey bee~”
Blushing a bit as she spun, he folded her arms pouting a little bit. Lydia sighed while sitting in the chair she had pushed over, placing Bailey in her lap facing her as she wagged a finger at her, making the bee ears droop a bit as she looked into her hurt looking expression.
“You really scared Mommy today, Bailey. What would Mommy do if you had fallen right off this counter and hurt yourself hmm? That is not ok, not one little bit, ok?”
Pulling her close, she hugged her gently as Bailey's ears drooped further. She hadn't wanted to upset her mommy at all. Her little arms hugged her back as they sat for a second rocking gently before Lydia stood up, sitting her gently into the highchair before pushing it into the corner, facing it as she looked up at her with big teary eyes.
“Don't you give me that, young lady. You get five minutes in the corner for being naughty. It's the time of year to be good, y'know my little bay-bee, Santa is watching after all.”
Sitting in the highchair looking at the wall, she had some time to think. She genuinely felt bad for making mommy upset, not to mention the fact that she was right; she could have gotten hurt pretty bad. She'd try her hardest to be a good girl for her Mommy and Santa from now on.
Her ears perked up a bit as she heard the door to the oven open once again, craning her head to try to see what her Mommy was doing now. Catching a glimpse of what could soon be a cake going in, the little girl turned back in her chair forming a new plan. Well… she could always start trying to be good next year.
