The same thing, day in and day out, By this point they had lost track of how long they had been living the same day, an endless task of labor, transporting the goods wrought by other drekir to the places they need to be.
They were almost at that extraction too but the Sivilão found them first... their guide fought bitterly but regardless to the end and they were dragged into the Õfuth by the hands of an orm where they have been since. At first they tried to resist, they tried to escape but each attempt lead to a failure and each failure, another branding to their back, they have been on their good behavior for a while now though, broken as they are.
and as of now there isn't much more for Worker 4902 but to remain as they are, another cog of the Great Civilization Machine and, for what its worth, they have maintained their expected quotas of labor and egg production. Perhaps in another 20 years they may yet take on the role of a Drãlk?.. doubtful but time will tell
So yeah a pretty awful Alternate Ending for The Long Hike
This one I would say is arguably the bleakest, In chapter 3 (extraction) the deviation is that Oli and Forl didn't escape from the Sivilão they ran into and, with Forl killed and Oli broken, having labored by this point for some 5 years within the Õfuth where they will likely be spending the rest of their life. Was going for capturing the flat, bland nature of even such an overtly fantastical place. Just a cog of a horrid machine going through the same thing they've done for the prior thousands of days and the things they will do for the following, just as every other poor drek dragged in must endure. The really shitty thing is that escaping a Õfuth is just about impossible, its essentially like living in an panopticon with walls meters thick, with people always watching you.
It would really take a Deus Ex Machina to help Oli break out but I think at this point, considering that Turs Vi is a very stable Õfuth, that's not happening.
This is a pretty sad ending of a person slowly worn down and broken by the crushing grind of Sivilão society
its kinda what it specializes in, Grinding you down through endless labor until your will to disobey grinds away as dust, either that or you die.

Was waiting for this one. Oli is looking nice and trim! Maybe it's the eels - they do say you are what you eat. Teal green tags go well with her eyes, too.
Also, that's a chonky egg - big enough for a norn, my species! If it was then it would be just about to hatch, though (lore says they absorb air from the environment as the embryo grows).

Yeah life in a Õfuth holds back and reverse Ëldimor atavism, so no fur and, as that atavism starts to affect different behavioral aspects of drekir, you will see a reversion of those to more of the "proper sivilào vision" of the caste of labor. So no fur trimming! It just falls out.
Also egg? Where? If you mean the drek on the far right yeah, drekir are built for it but they tend to lay large eggs, though they tend to grow over time after being laid.

Well more specifically all are slaves within their society!
They believe society is a machine that keeps the world right and so everyone must participate lest their society and the world as they know it collapse.
All bring the rhythm of the civilization machine forward, those that do not shall not live to see tomorrow. Õheduradir.
Everyone plays the club cranium of slavery! Just the not sivilão drekir seem more unwilling to find honor in labor like the rest... weird
