In a futuristic version of our own world, monsters have become an increasing problem across the globe. From giant, wild beasts to tiny, vicious creatures, sightings and attacks by strange entities are becoming more and more frequent. Some reports are even claiming that these monsters have started disguising themselves to blend in amongst humans. If there really are monsters hiding in our societies, who knows what kind of damage they could do as they prey upon larger populations of humans. After all, the only thing monsters like that could possibly want is to devour and destroy humankind, right?

The Laika Project seeks to disprove that. Lead by Dr. Anatoly Laika and his husband Sgt. Mateo Ripley- the top secret government project seeks to research and study these nonhuman entities in order to better understand them and hopefully protect the ones that mean mankind no harm, going so far as to adopt and raise a nonhuman entity as their daughter. Kaeya is a [REDACTED] originating from [REDACTED] and entrusted to the care of the Laika Project by [REDACTED]. Receiving special training at [REDACTED] she now uses the natural abilities of her species to assist in seeking out other nonhuman entities that are hiding amongst the humans and studying them. Her latest research subject is Charles, another nonhuman entity who really just wants to blend in and go unnoticed. Unfortunately for him, Kaeya's decided he's far too interesting to let be. It probably helps that she thinks he's pretty cute, too.
