Mom took this picture of me and Sam, my Trakehner gelding, last fall when we were at a horse show. I didn't even realize she'd gotten her camera out, but I'm SO glad she did. Look how sweet we are! Sam stands a HUGE 17hh barefoot, or 17.1hh with shoes, so it makes my 5'3" look particularly shrimpy, but he's really just a gentle giant.

Please excuse my hand on the lead rope. I'm holding a horse treat and Sam's trying to butter me up so that I'll give it to him. Such a ham!
