And here we have Cubot and Orbot being idiots. Obviously Shadow can't beat it out of them as they are robots, and dedicated to Eggman, but now he knows that Eggman DOES know something because they're terrible liars. Eggman isn't exactly scared of Shadow's casual threats, it's just 'Fine, let's get this argument over with'.
Yes, Eggman effectively has his own Internet. That's one reason why it's so hard for his computers to be remotely hacked, even by Tails and GUN; they're designed to be compatible on the outward signal, but not for coming in - he can see you, but you can't see him.
