Paw Fashion 6: 'Kaleva' snowboot
While I obviously love boots as a thing of fashion, they have a long history as a much more utilitarian and practical type of footwear meant for dealing with various environmental conditions. Of course, there's no reason they can't be both.
Given the time of year and the sort of weather I've been dealing with lately, a nice warm winter snowboot seemed like a good contribution to the project. The boot is constructed very solidly from a variety of modern materials, fully waterproof, and fur-lined to keep your paws warm and cozy even tromping through snowdrifts. Deep treads help maintain grip on icy surfaces, and there's even a little utility pouch for storage of shiny things.

That's one thing I tend to like about some snowboot designs. :) The outward appearance of the thick soles and deep treads present a pretty rugged, no-nonsense front to the elements, but they're so soft and cozy around the paw of the person wearing them. It's a fun duality. ^^
