[A while later, Just-Kon and Haydn went back to Just-Kon’s palace to go get his armor. Once that was done, Just-Kon opened a portal to the Ocean Side Zone, and the two of them walked through with weapons in hand. On the other side, they find themselves in a beach-like area. The portal closes behind them.]
Haydn: *looks around* “Man, Just-Kon! What is this place?”
Just-Kon: “Welcome to the Ocean Side Zone, Haydn. This area is mostly a tropical beach. Also, yes. There is an ocean, but be careful. If you decide to go out there on a boat or something, don’t go too far. Otherwise, you’ll fall off the island.”
Haydn: “I’ll keep that in mind. Anyways, why are we here again?”
Just-Kon: “So about a month ago, I discovered this infection in another realm. It appeared to just be some sort of mind control serum. I thought it was that evil doctor who made it, because those that were infected by the serum had the same eye color as him.”
Haydn: “Could it just be a coincidence?”
Just-Kon: “Coincidence? I think not!”
Haydn: “Ok then.”
Just-Kon: “Anyways, there is currently no cure yet found for this. Recently, the same virus has been detected here and in the Tropical Valley Zone. Our mission right now is to go into the town and see if everyone is ok. You got that?”
Haydn: “Yeah, I think I understand.”
Just-Kon: “Excellent! Now let’s go.”
[Eventually, the duo arrived in a neighborhood. Everything was quiet. The streets were empty.]
Haydn: “Where the heck is everybody?”
Just-Kon: “I have no idea. Let’s check one of the houses.”
[Just-Kon and Haydn enter a random two story house]
Just-Kon: “Hello?”
[No response.]
Just-Kon: “Haydn, I got an idea. You check the second floor. I’ll check the first floor.”
Haydn: “On it.” *walks up the stairs* ; *searches some of the rooms*
Just-Kon: *enters a completely mangled up room* “Oh my god! What the hell happened here?”
Haydn: “Hey, Just-Kon! Get up here! We have survivors!”
Just-Kon: *rushes up the steps* ; *finds Haydn in a room with two crab people (a mom and a little girl) hiding inside a closet*
Haydn: “What are they?”
Just-Kon: “They’re called crabmen. But since these are female, they’re called crabwomen.” *turns to the frightened crabwomen* “Hey, it’s ok. We’re gonna get you two out of here. What happened?”
Crabgirl: “Monsters. So many monsters.”
Crabwoman: “I don’t know what happened. My husband went out to get groceries, and then these……zombies appeared!”
[The roof then crumbled on the other side of the room as something fell through. Just-Kon and Haydn turn around. An infected crabman rose from the debris and gazed its green glowing eyes at them. The crabgirl in the closet screamed as the infected crabman screeched.]
[The infected crabman charged towards Haydn.]
Haydn: *swings his right hammer, hitting it in the face*
Just-Kon: *stabs the crabman in the chest with his sword*
[The infected crabman falls to the ground and dies.]
Haydn: “Is it dead?”
Just-Kon: “Looks like it.”
[The stab wound on the crabman faded away.]
Haydn: *points at the healing stab wound* “Hey, look!”
Just-Kon: *his eyes widen*
Crabman: *regains his composure* “*groan* Oh, my head. What happened?”
Crabwoman: *stands up and steps out of the closet* “Harold?”
Crabman: “Clawdia! You’re alright!”
[The crabman and the crabwoman run towards each other and kiss.]
Crabgirl: “Daddy!”
Harold: “Stella! My little seashell is alright!” *hugs her*
Stella: *hugs him back* “I missed you.”
Harold: “What happened to me?”
Clawdia: “You became one of those zombies and then the king came and sorta cured you by killing you.”
Just-Kon: “Yeah, sorry about that.”
Harold: “You don’t have to apologize, your highness. As long as me and my family are safe.” *says “Thank you.” in Skycloudian*
Just-Kon: *says “Ummm….you’re welcome.” in Skycloudian*
Clawdia: “So, what do we do now?”
[Snarls from more of the infected echo from outside.]
Stella: “Mommy! The monsters are coming back!”
Just-Kon: “You know what to do. Kill them, and they’ll turn back to normal. They might even join you. Keep the child safe.”
Harold: “Yes, sir!”
Clawdia: “Bye! Stay safe out there!”
Haydn: “You know it.”
Just-Kon: “Haydn, let’s go!”
[Both of them leave the home.]
Just-Kon: *points at a horde of infected* “Look, over there!”
[After baradgening the horde, the two rushed for the beach city.]
[The city was crawling with infected citizens.]
Haydn: “God damn! How many more of these are there!?”
Harold: “Hey! Need some help?”
[Just-Kon and Haydn turn around to see the crabman family from earlier, with an army of citizens.]
Just-Kon: “Actually, yes we do.”
Clawdia: *has Stella on her back* “Come on, everyone! Charge!”
[The mob yelled as they charged toward the infected citizens.]
[Something started to rise out of the ocean in the distance.]
[An infected turtle hawk soared out of the water and swooped down at the angry mob.]
Clawdia: “Turtle hawk!”
[The infected turtle hawk screeched.]
Haydn: *throws one of his hammers at the creature*
Infected Turtle Hawk: *flinched and was knocked back a little bit* “*Screeeeeeeech!*” *charged at him*
Haydn: *dodge rolls out of the way*
Just-Kon: *jumps up and slashes the infected turtle hawk 3 times*
Infected Turtle Hawk: *turns around* ; *barfs a bunch of infected sea creatures into the sky*
[It is now raining infected sea creatures.]
Just-Kon: “Watch out!” *puts his arms in a defensive position* ; *a deflector shield forms around him* ; *the infected sea creatures bounce off as they hit the shield*
Haydn: *dodges like crazy*
The Mob: *kills some of the falling creatures while also avoiding them and the infected citizens*
[Eventually, it stopped raining infected sea creatures.]
Infected Turtle Hawk: “*Screeeeech!*” *flies above everyone* ; *enters its shell and then tries to crush everyone* ; *it missed* ; *pops out of its shell, and then attempts to repeat the entire thing all over again*
[Eventually, the infected turtle hawk was defeated and cured.]
Turtle Hawk: *wakes up* ; *looks down at the people in confusion* ; *flies away*
[Everyone celebrated.]
Haydn: “Let’s goooooo!”
[A really loud roar echoed from an island in the distance.]
[Everyone turned in the direction where the sound came from.]
A Random Citizen: “What was that?”
Just-Kon: “I have no idea. Haydn, let’s go check it out.”
Haydn: “Alright.”
Just-Kon: “Everyone! I am afraid we are going to have to leave y’all here. But don’t worry. If you need any help or if anything goes wrong, please contact us immediately. Got it?”
Citizens: * chatters in agreement*
Just-Kon: “Farewell now! Be safe!”
Citizens: *all say goodbye*
[Just-Kon opens a portal to the island, and him and Haydn walk through.]
[The duo heard some chatting.]
[When they made it to the source of the sound, they came across a massive isopod with a coral shell and a coral club.]
Haydn: “Who is that?”
Just-Kon: “That’s the Coral Knight. One of the mighty bug warriors that guard this island. We may need to ask him some questions.” *walks towards the Coral Knight* “Excuse me.”
Coral Knight: *turns around* “Your highness!”
Just-Kon: “Hey, what’s up?” *shakes his hand*
Haydn: *walks in* “Hello.”
Just-Kon: “Oh yeah, and this is Haydn.”
Coral Knight: “Nice to meet you.”
Just-Kon: “So we’ve got some questions to ask you.”
Coral Knight: “Go ahead. Ask away.”
Just-Kon: “We just heard a loud noise come from this island. Do you have any idea what that was?”
Coral Knight: “I have no idea. I just woke up here with a bad headache.”
Haydn: “Do you remember anything before that?”
Coral Knight: “Yes, actually. I was in the coral reef just chilling, until this strange fish with green glowing eyes showed up and bit me. I then passed out.”
[Just-Kon and Haydn look at each other for a moment, and then look back at the Coral Knight.]
Just-Kon: “Did you look at the news recently?”
Coral Knight: “No. Why?”
Just-Kon: “There is currently a virus spreading across both the Ocean Side Zone and the Tropical Valley Zone. You may have been infected by it.”
Coral Knight: “Wait, you’re serious?”
Just-Kon: “It’s positive. And someone must’ve cured you by killing you.”
Coral Knight: “Well that’s unusual.”
Just-Kon: “Do you remember seeing anyone nearby when you woke up?”
Coral Knight: “Actually, yes. When I woke up, I saw this strange traveler standing in front of me.”
Just-Kon: “Can you please describe them?”
Coral Knight: “So, this traveler looked like he was not from anywhere on this island. His head was white with black eyes. Almost similar to a mask. He had horns similar to those of a goat or a ram. He was wearing a dark purple cloak. His arms and legs were black. He also had a weapon in hand.”
Just-Kon: “What kind of weapon was it?”
Coral Knight: “A nail. And it looked like a really old one too.”
Just-Kon: “Interesting.”
Haydn: “A nail?”
Just-Kon: *turns to Haydn* “The kind from Hallownest.”
Haydn: “Oh.”
Just-Kon: *turns back to the Coral Knight* “So you’re telling me this traveler is a knight?”
Coral Knight: “Looks like it.”
Just-Kon: “Did he say anything to you?”
Coral Knight: “I asked him who he was and what happened. He did not say his name, but he told me I tried to attack him, and he kinda saved my life. I told him whoever you are, thank you. And then he walked away not too long ago. In fact, I think that’s him up there.” *points at the figure watching from the top of a ledge*
[Just-Kon and Haydn turn around to see the figure duck down.]
Just-Kon: *gasps* ; *turns to the Coral Knight* “Thank you for your time. Haydn, let’s go.”
[Just-Kon and Haydn chased after the Knight]
Just-Kon: “Hey, wait!”
Haydn: “Slow down!”
[The knight was then able to outrun them both.]
[Just-Kon and Haydn stopped.]
Haydn: “Where the heck did he go?”
Just-Kon: “I don’t know.” *scans his surroundings with his helmet* “I can’t find him anywhere. You know what, just forget about him. We should head back before sunset.” *opens a portal back to the palace*
Haydn: “Wait, what about the Tropical Valley Zone?”
Just-Kon: “Since we found the cure for this virus, the citizens will be able to fight back. Don’t worry. Once I share this information we just learned, the news will be able to tell everyone. We also have to be ready.”
Haydn: “I guess that makes sense.”
[Both of them step into the portal.]
