Oh my goodness, it's been a while, hasn't it? A number of factors led to the delay. September was a time I've come to call "The Shittening of September", where a huge number of things all hit at once. I was pretty badly broken for a while, and the feelings ended up coming together in a whole new character that would not leave my head. I ended up writing Vayryn in January to try to deal with some of that, just to get it out of the way so I could get back to writing things. I managed to get back into writing some Flopsy, and then got inspired for her story by some really great ideas, so when it came time to write, I gravitated towards her. In the back of my head, the guilt over letting this story sit so long continued to grow, and part of the trouble was that since this is sort of "downtime" at the end of the book, it's hard to really pick out what kind of things I wanted to do or how to approach them.
There's two major hurdles left in getting the Duo home. One is figuring out how to even do it, but perhaps with help of skilled mages on Terra, Tola and them can work together to find a way to make it happen. The other, however, is being allowed to return... There's still a lot of worry and fear back home about just what Tola even is, after all, and it's going to be an uphill battle to convince the people in charge to allow him back into their world. It's time for a lot of secrets to be brought to light.
Also, Princess finally gets some actual therapy, which has been sorely needed. Sure, there's a risk in letting more people know about magic and Terra and everything, but it kinda already happened, so might as well make use of it. Besides, she seems nice.
The chapter is a little lengthy, at 7679 words. Some of it feels like it might drag a little, but I can't tell if that's just because I've been away from this story for so long, or if it really is like that. This puts the chapter at #7 in length, and brings Book 2 to 99,404 words so far (204,215 for the whole series). Next chapter will probably be the final chapter for Book 2, though I have some ideas for Book 3. But I'll likely face another delay as I try to build on them and plan out what I want the book to be about. Probably, I'll work to combine the two "main" ideas into a book, as currently it doesn't feel like either one is really able to be a book on its own.

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I somehow missed this comment in my notifications. ^_^;;
With Book 2 complete, I think I want to take a little bit of a break before I post another chapter in this series, but I've still got my other two story series going on, if you haven't already checked them out. (I'd be tempted to start a fourth, but I don't know what I'd do beyond "Slow-burn TF, possibly into pet of some kind", and then I'd have the issue of having four series going when I have Book 3 planned out and ready to start up... So maybe it's best that I don't. ^_^;; )
