Man, F in the chat for the artificer, that was a nasty loop to get stuck in. The artifact draining you of your sapience in ways initially small enough to rationalize away, and by the time the signs start getting more noticeable you start losing the ability to notice them.

It’s devious... which makes it all the more interesting, in the end. And, on the bright side, at least he got to turn into a really hot monster, too. Love me a stomach mouth, and the way the gem was absorbed by the body, plus the posture on the final stage were both great design choices.

I would be lying if I said that slow corruption wasn't a guilty pleasure of mine. ^^

And glad you like the final form - Echo has some pretty amazing and unique ideas when it comes to monster designs!

This feels less Monstrosity and more Aberration =P

so if I'm reading this right, the trade off every time you would have normally died you mutate instead? is it because the drain it's casting is usually going to be hitting the monster that downed you in most cases? If that's correct it seems like the perfect arcane enhancement to take on a kingdom vs kingdom battle, less so in a dungeon crawl. very cool concept in anycase, very curious as to how much bigger that artifact could make echo if he continues to battle

But... but we are already hitting levels of bigness hitherto thought impossible! There is no telling what's going to happen if we push the power of such a highly unstable artefact even further...
