Max needed to come in during office hours for extra help on an assignment. Aspiring to be a fraction of what his professor had accomplished, Max was a budding psychologist interested in therapeutic techniques. Upon opening the door Max was greeted by quite the sight. There was Professor Delgado, paws kicked up as he read a book titled “Asylum Techniques”
“H-hey Dr. Delgado.” Max shimmied into the office.
The lion’s eyes lit up upon hearing Max’s voice, “Max, always a pleasure to see you.”
The young border collie stood in front of the lion, a bit unsure how to navigate the situation. Those broad paws were often the subject of Max’s fantasies, and the cause of many awkward situations during lectures. Max glanced over to the discarded shoes the lion often wore, and wondered what they must’ve smelled like.
A clearing of the throat made Max snap to attention, “O-oh sorry Professor. Just wanted to ask if you could explain Confidentiality a bit more?”
“Sure thing!” The Professor’s toes splayed in excitement, “So with Confidentiality…”
The lion continued on about the in’s and out’s of Confidentiality, but Max was distracted. Those paws were to die for! Max wondered just how soft and sweaty they must be. Pressed up against his face, and potentially at his mercy too.
“Max? You there?” The lion raised an eyebrow.
Muzzle beet red, Max diverted the attention to the book Professor Delgado was reading. “W-whatcha reading Doc?” He cringed a bit at how weirdly that sentence came out but the lion seemed okay with it.
“Oh! It’s all about asylum techniques. It’s interesting how strange previous methods were to help patients relax.”
Max’s ears perked up, “Oh? What kinds of methods?”
The lion flipped through a few pages, “Says here that they used to have these rooms filled with soft pads to prevent patients from injuring themselves.” He flipped again through some more pages, “It also says they used some odd garment called a straitjacket.”
Max was curious and pushed the envelope a little bit, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen either of those before.”
“I could show you,” Professor Delgado’s padded toes curled in excitement, “shall we pay my clinic a visit?”
Max grinned, “Absolutely professor!”
