I might tweak the mix a teeny bit from here, but this is, at last, a reasonably final version of the title song! Chef Albertson (Brooke Stephens) is encouraged by Adam Chase (Daniel Bush) and gently trolled by Julie Bunny (Chelcie Abercrombie).
Turn it up and let your eeeeeevil side come forth! Moooohahahaha...

That's awesome! XD
It's nice to finally hear a female Julie in it as well. For some reason this was the only song where your Julie voice irritated me, so the replacement is nice
If I had one criticism (and this is where I reveal the true extent of my lack of musical knowledge) it's that for the first section of it one of the instruments seems to drown out the vocals on each emphasis. Tell ya what, I'll write out a couple lines of lyrics and put in capitals all the words I think are a little too drowned out:
"She's managed to THWART every scheme I put FORTH with an odd preterNATural ..."
Other than that it's brilliant :)

That was a tricky thing. I erred on the side of "let's make the backbeat punch a bit with the guitar". It's entirely possible that I, too, will tire of it, and reduce the guitar volume at that point.
As for my "irritating" voice, don't turn that dial. I need to start demoing some ferret songs soon, so it's back to working on Brit accents for me! I knew you'd loooove that.

Haha, no, usually I love all your voices, and even in the other Julie songs I like your Julie voice. It's just that in this one (Demo version I mean) it seemed a little... morning children's TV (I was going to say like something off Balamory, but I don't suppose you have that in the US. Lucky lucky you!)
Also, you're right! I do love that! Is there anything I can help you out with in that regard?
If not, I'll still look forward to hearing anything from it :D

You should talk to
kuddlepup about putting on a charity performance or something of this at Anthrocon. |D
Dunno if you'd be able to get your local cast to all trip up to Pittsburgh for that though. Maybe you could use con attendee talent? I wonder how well auditions/rehearsals with video chat over Skype would work? o.o They already set up a very nice stage for the Masquerade talent show et al.

I tried to make a big long journal entry about this topic, but FA went down and took my entry with it. Maybe I'll rewrite it later.
I think JBMD is destined to pop up at a con or two, but you've already got your finger on the biggest problem - the sheer logistics of wrangling five actors and a keyboardist who know the show well enough to perform it. No one wants to watch people stumble around awkwardly for 80 minutes. I think it could be done with a well-rehearsed cast on a big stage; I also think it could be done as a "reading" in a much smaller venue, without the bother of sets, sound or light tech. Right now I'm in negotiations with the entertainment director of a small, nearby con to bring my Springfield cast, and while it's too early to make any official announcements, I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'd love to have the opportunity to take my Orlando cast to Megaplex, since it's pretty close to them. Anthrocon, being the big tamale, is something I'd like to do once the planets have properly aligned; rather than go for main stage right away, I'd rather save that for a time in the future when I have, say, a NYC cast I could fly down for the occasion (hey, I can dream, can't I?). In the meantime, a reading by con attendees in a small venue would probably be the safest way to approach that. I'd gladly talk to KuddlePup anytime.
