The pic was inspired by this song
Ghosts often evoke mixed feelings in those who have to face them.
These are undead, spirits that have never reached the beyond, what remains of the emotions and sensations that together with the soul gave life to a body.
Still, an inexperienced adventurer might make the mistake of dismissing them, considering them only a kind of perpetual illusion, which can certainly scare, but not harm physically.
Too bad it's not that simple.
Beyond the effect that staying in contact with a supernatural being for too long can have on livings,
it must in fact be remembered that even the weakest of ghosts still has the ability, by concentrating, to possess inanimate objects and use them for its purposes.
Being something more than a common ghost, Sir Cordiale learned this skill almost immediately, and it made his new existence much less melancholy.
He can no longer feel the warmth of a body, nor taste the goodness of a food, nor can he feel the spring breeze caressing his old fur anymore...
However, he can merge his spirit with an object of almost any size and control it with his mind, moving it anywhere at will.
When Borgon was still a teenager, so that he could continue with his training, an armor as majestic as it was massive was forged for the ex-Captain of the Guard.
With vaguely hare features, the gigantic structure of iron and steel plates connected to each other by leather joints would make a great impression in a collector's home.
Three meters high, weighing enough to force even a large creature to move slowly in it, Sir Cordiale's "battle gear" is intimidating at first glance.
But this, as mentioned, is only the beginning.
Because, if you are already frightened by the idea of being charged in battle by a mountain of steel,
imagine your surprise when you see the armor dart around rapidly, even floating in the air as if it were as light as a feather!
All this, realizing instantly how much those movements which for any living creature would cost many energies are instead worth the minimum effort for the night guardian of castle della Verbena!
Sir Cordiale has never liked using brute force, and normally he would be careful not to wear such scary "clothes".
But give him a good reason to consider you a threat to the prince he serves, and you will discover how even the most peaceful being sometimes has to make of violence an exigence...
This was originally an ych pose, but I asked my friend
petplayer976 to turn it into a dynamic pose of Sir Cordiale during a charge.
As you know, I like contrasting themes, and having a character so funny and likeable that in case of danger can become a war machine is surely an intriguing concept to explore ^^
Speaking of Sir Cordiale, be sure to stick to my works, because a long comic (12 pages long!) about a portion of his past is in the making!
Please, visit the artist's page and give her tons of support. And why not, commission her aswell!
She's worthy your time, believe me
