Dee starts to get into a bit of a panic, desperately trying to brainstorm an escape from this. He can only really manage a light brainshower with his current brain size. Still, he can recall just enough about drawing ritual circles, which, well… in theory they still might work here, even if they're in a completely different world. Technically they can be done without his usual demonic powers. Gigi can't help but scoff at how flimsy the dirt and grass will be for carving fine runic details, especially with the handicap of their current Poké-flavoured world.
It takes him a few extra seconds to cotton on to it, but Gigi has accidentally slipped up and admitted she remembers how a ritual circles work. But it doesn't seem to be the big dramatic turnabout he was hoping for. While yes, Gigi does remember their previous life together… well… it seems a bit fuzzy, and absurd!
Gigi questions how real this "life" they both remember was, which is why she's been trying to avoid talking about it completely. How does a tail "remember" details like this? Kree and Dee shared that giant house together as roommates? Kree owns it? Do either of them actually have any income? All of it just feels, well… not quite normal? Life as a Girafarig, now that one seems much clearer from her perspective!
It seems to her it probably was… just a dream? One shared by both of them because their interconnected spinal nervous system synchronised their dreams together. Which is something Girafarig tails are NOT supposed to be doing. Tails aren't supposed to go to sleep! He's a bit of an unusual tail to be doing all this sleeping all the time, which probably explains his peculiar behaviour recently…
Dee is pretty rattled by this comeback, and tries to reassure himself he didn't just make up a whole alternate life for himself in a dream… he's NOT just a tail! It wasn't a dream! It just can't be! He can't be just a tail…! 😰

I see this ending on one of two ways for Dee
either he spends the rest of life in constant almost depressed identity crisis
or the more fun option that he accepts that maybe he "might" actually have always been a tail, only to eventually find one of the other people from the party who are udder pokemon and ends up being "See, it was real"

Tbh, the intention is that Dee get a punishment for been cruel with literally a GOD! But I can't avoid feeling some shame for him, struggling the best he can to keep his mind in the right place, even thought his brain is right now very small, hope this demon get through this situation, but still keeping funny times, hehe xp
Technically all that Arceus intended by his anger-induced punishment was to turn them into their costumes. It's very vaguely technically Dee's fault for wearing an upside-down costume as he did. He was tempting fate already with how often they get into TF shenanigans at the best of times. 😛
He'll probably be able to bounce back after this… assuming he manages to get back to some sort of normal form… and doesn't lose himself in this Tail life… 😝

Unfortunately for Dee, Arceus did too good of a job of providing them with this new Girafarig body. From Gigi's perspective (as the head) she's got two sets of memories, tail life vs Girafarig life… and so now she's contemplating if this strange old life was in fact just strange-like-a-dream…
Dee is desperately trying to rationalise his "it was real, God did this" argument vs her "it was just a dream" argument for their current reality, and that his previous life was just strange and not "just a dream" strange… 😅

She can spot the cracks in their world's worldbuilding so much clearer from this other point of view 😅
If Dee wasn't handicapped with such a smol brain and a lack of Pokémon trivia, he might be able to similarly critique Gigi about how generic and Pokédex-derived her "real" memories might seem to be… but she's managed to corner him too much into this panic of existential dread for him to be able to equally question her backstory. 😝

Yeah tail we have memories of this "life" but outside thoses weird transformation events, what do you even do? I don't even remember you doing any activity in particular or even were this mansion is.

From Gigi's perspective, she woke up in a Girafarig body with a bunch of Girafarig memories… but also another set of memories that are suspiciously all about her tail being in control of their body and she's the tail… so of course she gets biased and suspicious towards Tail's side of the story… 😜
When (if?) Dee gets back to his regular demon lizard body, there's most definitely going to be some side-effects leaking back… a tail once awakened is hard to get rid of, after all 😄
