Aren, the narrator of my unnamed story.

The violent transformation of Aren's skull into that of a raven's (don't worry about it) left their brain a little bit scrambled, resulting in various symptoms of severe head injury, including but not limited to amnesia. They are physically incapable of speaking, thanks more to the bird head than the concussion. Despite being a rather imposing figure, Aren is actually very friendly. People tend to be afraid of them regardless. It's hard to make friends when all you can do is AWK at people, but they try anyway.
