This is an old doodle that I did some tweaking to. Nurik is the female pulak who cares for Richard on behalf of the village matriarch, Adhara. Nurik is an infertile worker who is dedicated to taking care of other people's puppies, since she cannot have her own children. (She has gynecological problems that cause her children to miscarry or stillbirth) Therefore, she does not have a partner in the village. Nobody wants a female who can't bear children to a male pulak. The superstitious pulaks say that she is cursed. And she lives a very lonely life. Richard has been a comfort to her. And she cares for him as if the human was her true cub. Richard, at first, is ashamed and afraid. But over time, he grows fond of her too. This is part of the story, "The Pillars of Sanyahona", which I hope to continue soon.
