Another goodie rescued from the Archives...
This picture (and the Funhouse's 'Sexy Stable' itself, as a matter of fact) was inspired by an extremely obscure Bob Clampett cartoon called "It's a Grand Old Nag." Its video is nowhere to be found online, however...
there's a synopsis and a sequence of gorgeous (both in quality and content), pristine-quality stills from the cartoon online at
http://classiccartoons.blogspot.com.....d-old-nag.html
(I suspect there'll be a lot of downloading from that page going on shortly...)

That's my favorite part of the funhouse! That tail looks might comfy!

I have a copy of Grand Old Nag on video. I transfered it from a friend's 16-mm print many, many years ago, when I produced a show on animation history for local public access cable.
I'm rather surprised it hasn't shown up on YouTube, since I believe it is in the public domain (but don't quote me on that!).

I should also note that I included that cartoon in a half-hour retrospective on Bob Clampett I created for the aforementioned public access program.
A few weeks later, I got a call from Bob Clampett, Jr., inquiring about the show (he apparently heard about it from one of my animator friends).
