I've been following a webtoon comic for some time called Spellward Bound and have loved it, and not because main character is prone to transformations!
The current reboot of the story on Webtoons is just so fun, I am loving how different the story is going from it's original canvas era form. And this week Mateo just went through a full body transformation into the cutest little aquatic biped! I had to draw him!
And now back to working on the commission queue!

ohh this is SUCH a great comic ^w^ <3 <3
was reading it on Webtoon in it's older version on Canvas, and when it became popular enough that it's now being remade as an Original on that platform i got SO EXCITED!!
need to catch up with it to be perfectly honest, as i'm binge-reading a couple other favorites there like Weak Hero and The Greatest Estate Developer from scratch again in between work ^^;
his partial-transformations look really cool and the full-forms, like this awesome pic, look AMAZING!!
and it's actually one of those stories that reminds me that there are people who in fact DONT wish to abandon their humanity in favor of a more powerful or cooler form, unlike myself. but it's actually refreshing to remind myself of that and to see how someone does their best to RETAIN their humanity instead of willingly allowing it to be taken and changed into something else. it makes me seriously root for Mateo though! ^w^
oh, and i SERIOUSLY like how theres a legit Space-corporation involved in all the supernatural things happening now, it makes me seriously hope that Mateo's true dream of being an Astronaut actually has a chance of coming true in this storyline vs the older Canvas storyline ^w^

The characters and basic story idea are the same, but the Originals version goes off on it's own script almost immediately after the setup.
And it is amazing!
I too would love to succumb to the transformations, but I have to say while reluctant it does look like Mateo has some appreciation for the forms and their abilities. Which I just love.
My one wish for this series is that it doesn't get cut off by corporate so we can see Mateo's story come to a solid conclusion! And yes, he must go into space!!!!

It is not in my plans at the moment. The one form I've been wanting to draw since it happened in the canvas version is a partial tek-tf that may be coming up soon if that is being kept from the original. Not likely since canvas never had a full species transformation & the originals has done it multiple times now.

ok, i think it should happen in future since mateo is using partial/hybrid form more often.
Also about canvas version, you know where we can read it? i only found the 3 first chapters and would like to know how the story was handled in the first version (especially since there was numerous difference compared to original)
