Tofu here, since Sloan's immediate ancestors several generations back didn't exist yet at the time. During my sumo training, this big cow who went by the wrestling name of Ushion'na (literally "Cow Woman") barged in and started going on about how foxes didn't have the beef necessary for sumo and that Kitsune were no different, and that only "big" anthro species should be allowed to compete. Mama Natto challenged her to a semi-official match (a Gyoji wasn't available to make it actually official, but the results would still be on record). As an ante loser basically had to quit sumo.

Needless to say, Mama Natto absolutely crushed her. Turns out Ushion'na was a rising Juryo (second-highest ranking class and the lowest ranking class considered a true professional) from Kobe, but ended up gambling her career on trying to defend her poor sportsmanship and attitude and ended up losing everything to a Banzuki-gai (unranked wrestler). She had also only ever faced smaller opponents before, and relied on her bulk to carry her. So when she went up against a bigger opponent in the form of Mama Natto, she didn't know what to do.

Yeah, Ushion'na should have known better than to be speciesist in front of one of the Kitsune who fought Tamamo-no-mae and helped seal her in the Sessho-Seki. Now she's out of a job, and probably won't even be able to become a cook at a Chankonabe restaurant because of her tattered reputation - she'd just get laughed out. Good on Natto for shutting her up.
