This boot is a simple yet sturdy affair made from tough, highly polished leather. I have it in mind as a sort of classy and formal uniform boot, like one might wear in Starfleet or some other military. I like the simple and elegant design they ended up with.

If that makes ya happy. ;) Solid, thick and tight leather like that probably won't breathe quite as well as some of the other boots so there ya go.

Why thank you. ^^ I certainly have a strong bias towards drawing pretty shiny black leather as much as I can get away with, and hope I haven't been overdoing it. But I do like how it looks with my scales and want to avoid any colors that wouldn't work well with them.

Love these - same idea as the first set you did, only these look more refined and custom fitted. They really accent the feet and legs nicely.

Yeah, that's the idea. :) The Hyari boots are meant to be pretty soft and loose and casual, while these are really custom fitted, stiff and highly polished leather, meant to be more dressy and formal. I like how they accent the shape of the legs too.

And it has the bonus of making the Hyari footpaws look pretty awesome. ;) Or maybe that was the intent all along.

Hyari's just the name of the first boot design and a little-seen secondary character I have, the footpaws themselves are mine. ^^ But yes, I certainly don't object to how nice the boots make 'em look!
