If you like medieval-style fantasy and you haven't heard of David Petersen's Mouse Guard, you're missing out. Mouse Guard is a graphic novel series, about a colony of intelligent mice set in a medieval era, and there are no humans in this world. The art is gorgeous, the story gripping, and I've been introduced to it by the table-top role-playing game derived from the books.
Millie is my RP character. She's an excellent hunter, a skilled archer, and she's an enthusiastic member of her patrol who will put the team before her own safety. On the downside, she's reluctant to do anything on her own and doesn't trust her own judgement unless it is backed by someone else.
This was made from a mix of Fimo and Sculpey, whatever leftovers I had on hand, over a wire skeleton. I painted details win acrylic paint; the arrows are copper and steel wire and the fletching is masking tape. The bow string is some gold sewing thread. Photographed on a rainy day in my front garden last fall.
