This is a rediculously short short story about a cat who has storm powers. Everyone loves The Storm Cat, since he gives everyone water.
This story takes place in a grassland on the verge of drying up in the ruthless heat of summer. In the midst of the drought, The Storm Cat brings plenty of water so all life could flourish.
It was morning. The heat cooked the dried ground, and nearly burned Vapor's paw as he set it onto the ground after leaving the shelter of a huge oak tree. As he looked around, he could see the beige, dried up grass in front of him. Sighing, he floated up into the air. From below, rabbits and foxes emerged from their dens, squinting as they struggled to see the cat.
Vapor closed his eyes, and felt the heat gradually die down as cool, damp air filled his nose. He smiled as his powers were working; the sun completley covered by heavy rain clouds which were ready to soak the soil and bring back the life that was dried by the cruel heat.
Vapor opened his eyes as a small rain drop fell onto his fur. Although it evaporated immediatley because of the heat still on his fur, the next few drops seeped through and touched his skin, making him shiver.
All the other animals happily left their dens conpletley, running around in the rain as it showered down gently onto their fur.
