"In her eyes, you can see her swirling galaxies."
"In her wing tips, you can see her palette."
"In her wings, you can see her prized creation."
"In her smile, you can see her love."
Total working time: 6 hours and 30 minutes.
Great Goddess Acera, creator of Kalzeria. She appears as a white wolf, a symbol of awe. Her wings are her windows to Kalzeria, so she may forever watch over it.
The planet Kalzeria, pictured within her wings, is orbited by its two moons (because two moons are awesome). Behind it, a comet speeds past. The vastness of space is populated by glinting stars.
It took me a very long time to do this picture-- I spent much of my time coloring and shading the planet in the background to look realistic in terms of geography and colors, though most of it is obscured by the clouds. Oh well. :P
Acera herself was rather easy to put together. I displayed expertise in using the "mirror" function when lining her wings and face. Her eyes, however, were what really drew me in. I needed her eyes to display galaxies of various colors, while not being scary. I handled that well, though. I even textured her fur!
All-in-all, GIMP turned out to be the best help in making the picture. I will be using it much more in future projects.
