You walked along the busy streets of your city, a walk like on any other day really when out purchasing things, whether groceries or other things.
However, something was different this time.. a store that had always been just empty, had suddenly been filled and set up over night. And it looked like a pawn shop of all things..
No one around seemed too interested, but you dared to take a sneaky peek inside.. only to find yourself magically pulled inside, sliding just a few steps into the store!
And there you were, surrounded by.. a pretty chaotic looking place actually. Mess of shelves with a bunch of various random items on display, alongside stacks of boxes seemingly stuffed with an assortment of curiosities.
"See anything you like?~" A voice then called your attention to the front counter of the store.. an old-style cash register was placed on it, but more peculiar was the little talking creature that sat ont op of the counter.
The strange, fennec-fox looking thing smiled at you and spoke further. "If not, then perhaps is there anything you desire?~ Just tell and ask away, I am certain my store has what you are looking for!"
The fox chuckled while you scrambled to find any words or just anything to hastily grab.. You swiftly pulled out something from a box nearby and it looked like a.. mask?
Looking it over for a moment, it appeared to be some sort of bird mask, fit for a carneval or something.. You didn't pay attention to the fox creature for the time, next you knew he was standing right next to you, startling you.
"An excellent choice right there! Masks are always fun for you to play a different role, let out a different side of you~ Might change up some of the monotony you experience, hm?~ Tell you what, as a welcome gift you can just have it for free~"
You just blinked confused, looking back between the mask and the little fox.. taking notice of his three tails only now as he continued speaking.
"Don't give me that look~ Just go on, have a bit of different kind of fun for a change!" The fox, only half your size, still managed to give you a push from your back to get you moving. You stumbled out the strange store.
"Now, go on! You know where to find me, should this not be up to what you truly wish~ These items return to me one way or another.." You took his words in, especially those rather eerie ones at the end, that still sounded way too friendly.
You turn around and-- gone.. the store was gone. Or rather the inside of it, it was just an empty store open for renting. Yet you still held onto the mask, it gave you a strange feeling just holding it.. was this real? It had to be.. and yet.. the mask..? Would you really wear that thing? If only for curiosities sake?~


Boy oh boy, had to write a little scene. This character here had been around for a few years in concept but only recently could really picture his design and figure it out, and even that took over a month.
Anyways, meet Fei! Not an original concept to have a kitsune own a strange shop of curiosities, but it is such a fun concept, especially with potential for all sorts of shenanigans of magical varieties! More often than not with transformations included, very likelyy.
So, hope you like this little new guy and I hope to be able to make him appear a bit more in the future and expand on him!
