Trying out a new technique tonight while I was waiting for my batch of P.L.U.R. to come out of the molds. This involves four separate batches of soap (3 clear, 1 opaque). The top layer isn't caffeinated or scented at all, but it's not even 1/4" thick, so it's purely for appearances.

But hey! Rainbow tiedye pawprints are possible now! Yet another way to appeal to my target audience

This batch of soap is caffeinated (or at least, all of the white soap that makes up the majority of the bars). It's scented like Sweet Meyer Lemon and is soooo yummy smelling.

Not for sale at Con*Tact Caffeine yet, not really sure on a pricing structure or if I'd want to produce them only in one scent, or make other scents available. Just a test batch!

The nice thing about having the clear layer on the top is that these will never develop the frost that happens on my opaque caffeine soaps due to crystallizing caffeine, they'll only frost on the surface of the white soap, which is white already.

Theoretically I could do this color gradient with pretty much any colors I wanted, so maybe I'll have to come up with some good uses for it. But for now, it's just being used to make rainbow soaps, which is pretty dandy.
