It has been far too long since I last made one of these. I think that making these sorts of series is really neat as sort of a time capsule to go back and look at. As a matter of fact, I was reminded to do one now because I recently went back to look at the first reel I posted back in 2016, and found that I had actually wrote in the description back then, "I wonder what my art may look like in another 6 years." Well I guess now I finally got that answer, and I quite like it!
I also used to post these sorts of things because back then I thought it would help boost the confidence of other aspiring artists that were also starting out, and might feel iffy about their own work. I don't know if it's actually helped anyone before, but I felt it at least illustrated how crucial it is to keep trying and keep drawing. Practice and experimentation will do wonders, especially in hindsight.
And in case anyone was wondering: Yes, I do still cringe when I look at my drawings from 12 years ago, and I do still look at other artists with far more practice & experience and wish I could be as good. None of that should matter of course, but it simply can't be helped sometimes. Just have to try your best, always~
I know the last image isn't my most recent work, but in terms of my fully detailed drawings that are also SFW, it was the best of the latest I had on hand.
