Mother's birthday gift
A 4-5 hour painting and a portrait of a very special cat my mother had for a long time and I grew up with, going by the name "Bobby". She's still so in love with him and can barely let go because of the inner connection she had and still has with him spiritually, and I thought I'd immortalize the little guy in one of my creations. I don't exactly remember the year when he left us, but it was around 2012 when my parents departed. Her birthday was on the 8th, and she told me she had tears in her eyes when she saw this.

This... is absolutely beautiful.... I feel the same about my late cat; I lost him very young and I'm still in debt over his treatments. He was such an amazing cat. I couldn't do it now and I know you're closed anyway, but... how much would you charge for pet portraits like this? I understand that the number might change, but a rough idea is helpful. =)
Aw, I thank you with all my heart. I am really sorry to hear about your kitten... that's really unfortunate to lose a pet at such a young age. :(
I can technically push another painting into my current queue if you really want one, I wouldn't mind that, and I enjoy making my people happy. <3
Since this is more of a portrait than a closeup, the price would probably range around the 200€ mark when it's a frontal headshot like this one.
When it's something that requires more elaborating of the upper body's anatomy it flows into my normal closeup painting price which is a bit more costly.
Felines are fairly enjoyable and simple to draw, I wouldn't charge any additional complexity fee for those.

Oh man, I can definitely relate to that. We had to say, "we'll see you again" to one of our cats last year and it was immensely painful and just as hard as dealing with losing human loved ones. Hell, it still hurts to remember how much she loved us. But I think that just proves how compassionate us humans really are.
As for the pic itself, I'm blown away by how beautiful this cat must've looked. I can't know for sure how accurate to the real subject this illustration is, but it looks incredibly lifelike to the point that I can imagine how his different fur textures would've felt. No matter what you set out to create, you really give it your all to fully capture your vision, literal or otherwise.

With animals that show us a lot of love, it's the hardest to say goodbye to... but it's most important to remember every sweet moment we were able to share with them. It's unfortunate that cats have such a short life span compared to parrots for example. I would love to own one that is able to follow me along for most of my own life.
I am sorry to hear that your cat had to go recently. :(
Bobby was a very pretty cat, that's for sure. My mother always tells me stories that she wished him exactly to look the way he did before she adopted him. Very fluffy and soft boy too, he always enjoyed playing with olivs instead of catnip.
I only have very old pictures for reference, but I still remembered his face clearly: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pH.....ew?usp=sharing
Except for the picture on the right, that is not him, used that to see the facial anatomy better. Thank you so much for your kind words! <3
