No doors! It's a dragon thing! The cave system has no need of those low-security objects. Too many working parts, getting faulty real quick and too easy to damage. Muscari just wants to prove the point of how silly is to use doors. Doors won't keep dragons out...

Doors (especially the closed ones) are a direct challenge and an insulting invitation for thieves and dragons, to pry the open and get the riches behind them. I just use magical runes to keep out the unwanted weaklings, and many traps to reward those who got through...
