Nice try but you were describing the examples of people with closeted sex lives in restrictive religions, not a literal sex cult.

Now just a straight up super late reply, but I do want to clarify what I meant was that mainstream Christianity often preaches chastity as a virtue, not that the leader would preach it and then turn it around. What is shown in the comic is honestly a pretty realistic depiction of cult.
And recall back to when she talked about this very cult during her review when she walked in the boy's door: so casual and blase about the whole thing, but you can tell from all this she's been hurting for a VERY long time searching for a thing she doesn't understand enough to recognize the real thing, and running after every false lead like it's a lifeline, only to get hurt again and again.
