Mistakes are forever on the internet. It feels like all the time someone I follow is outed as something terrible. Does fame make people bad, or are bad people more attracted to the limelight? Is there a double standard between the general public and online personalities?

Oddly enough, I'm suddenly reminded of the obscure Japanese video game "Cookie's Bustle". Apparently, there's one person trying to singlehandedly remove all references of it from the internet, filing copyright strikes on videos depicting the game and whatnot. And in making such a big deal over trying to erase this game, people that have never even heard about it before are now trying their best to preserve what they can before it's gone for good. Perhaps the moral of the story is, no matter how we feel about the marks etched into the internet archives, trying to deny them entirely will only make them more noticeable in the end.
Mistakes, triumphs, regrets, and existence. It's a treasure trove of info. Any intergalactic species could learn more about our kind in one day.
