Consort as in, spouse, or a member of the dragon lord court ? I imagine that just like dragons hoard treasures indiscriminately, the dragon lord might have many spouses anyway !

Right on the money in both cases! The metal drakes do not share the regular animal reproductive system, so the dragon lord doesn't mind some (or most) of his silvery royal brides being male. He only prefers them smaller and more lithe than him, which isn't a difficult requirement considering his imposing stature.

Who needs a reproductive system when all that's required is an adult specimen and a fitting suit of armor, eh ?
Is the kobold species incidentally posted at the same time as this one a creation of the dragon lord as well, or are the two unrelated ? Also will we ever get to see said dragon lord in all his imposing stature ? :3
