I had already mentioned this before, but dragonkin is not native to valicia. they arrived in the planet about 3000 years ago from the current timeline, at which time the native population was still in the "classical age" in valicia, and the main cities hosting the intelligent population were still limited to the northeast region of the planet.

Lovatham, from the original brood of the dragon Vaste, is the one who was responsible for bringing dragonkin to valicia. back then, his world was dying, so the first dragons granted him a power to use once. he grew to a colossal size, about the size of a large city, and gained an atmosphere and even a gravity field of his own. dragonkin, kobolds and elves all boarded his body and set off into space, where he traveled for a decade before they arrived in valicia. once they had the clear by Valicia's divines, Lovatham lost his magical size and dragonkin settled in the planet, initially living in the Dragon's Claw region, or Dragon's domain.
Lovatham is now retired from his dragon duties, but he retains a job as the head of Vaste's city treasury, collecting and distributing the city's resources. He is highly respected within the planet by both dragonkin and valicians. he cares mostly about the sons and daughters he sired OR adopted. he's a prime good dad. out of love, other dragons of all broods refer to him as Father even if they're not of his blood.

in terms of power, he has retained a limited amount of the original size shifting ability, capable of becoming as tiny as 6ft tall, or as tall as 30 feet. his horns and claws also have grown crystalline, a remnant from this initial magic. he can shave them and sell the crystals for a profit.
