I’ve been noticing a recurring trope in multiple shows and games, involving a (usually villainous) duo of a bulky powerhouse and a smaller yet equally (or more) threatening partner. Like Vegeta & Nappa, Smough & Ornstein, Tarkus & Bruford, to name a few.

I couldn’t find a term coined to it, so I personally just call it “Dynamic Duo”, after Batman and Robin, who kind of fit the theme as well (and is probably the oldest example of this kind of duo that I’m aware of).

“The Bull and the Wolf” also works, which is kinda what they boil down to (and is what led to this drawing).
I always found this concept entertaining.
